Many-body Perturbation Study of Electron Correlation Effects on Nmr Parameters*
نویسنده
چکیده
NMR is routinely used as an indispensable research tool in present-day chemical laboratories because a wide variety of parameters can be extracted from the response of an ensemble of nuclear spins to a resonant excitation. Among them, the chemical shift in nuclear magnetic shielding and the electroncoupled nuclear spin-spin coupling are direct measures of the change in chemical environment around the nuclei concerned. Consequently, the accumulation of shift and coupling data allows us to use the shift and nuclear spinspin coupling as empirical parameters in rapid identification of the molecular species present. Theoretically, they can be expressed as a sum of firstand second-order properties, thus reflecting the details of the static and dynamic electronic structure of molecules. In this review, we wish to report on electron correlation effects on these magnetic properties. Diagrammatic many-body perturbation theory (MBPT) (1,2) is employed to analyze the effects since the method is most unbiased, allowing us to make order-by-order evaluation of the correlation effects.

Static and dynamic NMR properties of gas-phase xenon
This thesis presents computational studies of both the static and dynamic parameters of the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy of gaseous xenon. First, state-of-the-art static magnetic resonance parameters are computed in small xenon clusters by using methods of quantum chemistry, and second, time-dependent relaxation phenomena are investigated via molecular dynamics simulations at d...
متن کاملTheoretical predictions of the spectroscopic parameters in noble-gas molecules: HXeOH and its complex with water.
We employ state-of-the-art methods and basis sets to study the effect of inserting the Xe atom into the water molecule and the water dimer on their NMR parameters. Our aim is to obtain predictions for the future experimental investigation of novel xenon complexes by NMR spectroscopy. Properties such as molecular structure and energetics have been studied by supermolecular approaches using HF, M...

متن کاملThe effects of F2 adsorption on NMR parameters of undoped and 3C-doped (8, 0) zigzag BPNTs
In this research, we studied the structure, properties and NMR parameters of interaction F2 gas with pristine and 3C-doped (8, 0) zigzag models of boron phosphide nanotubes (BPNTs). in order to reach these aims, we considered four different configurations for adsorption of F2gas on the outer and inner surfaces of BPNTs. The structures of all models were optimized by using density functional the...

Background: The maintenance of postural control is a key component in dynamic physical activity, especially during muscle fatigue and against external forces. Despite many studies in this field, there is no consensus regarding the effects of plantar flexor muscles fatigue on postural control during different postural tasks. Objective: To evaluate the effects of plantar flexor muscles fatigue on ...
